Tungsten T12Q Alnico Speaker
Back in 2005 or so I approached Ted Weber with one request, to recreate a magical 1954 Jensen P12Q speaker that was part of my collection. After a few months of trial and error, we arrived at the Tungsten T12Q.
This speaker is the tonal heart of 1950’s tweed amps and is a critical part of the 5E3 recipe. I use this speaker in all of my Cortez and Mosaic MKII models for that classic strong yet papery mid 50’s color that’s perfect for your vintage amp or modern reissue.
The T12Q speaker is 8 ohms and rated at 20 watts in a silver finish. Other impedances and frame colors available by request.
